Thank you to the Kent School Health Service for delivering a presentation to our Year 3 pupils today. The presentation included some top tips on how children can ‘stay safe’ and ‘keep healthy’. They were also given some fun activities about what they can do to take care of themselves and look after their physical and emotional health. Every child went home with a booklet so that they can get the most out of the presentation, including how parents can contact Kent School Health with any concerns they may have about their child’s wellbeing.

In Science this week Year 2 have been investigating and identifying plant parts They have been talking about the function of the roots, stem and leaves of a plant.

"Look what's inside the leaves" said Barnaby, Nelson commented..."The leaves turn sun into food" , Orla observed that the roots were not all the same size and Sunay understood that the roots bring water into the plant.

James Bond, Jonny English, Alex Rider, Men in Black or Mission Impossible?  Whoever they are collecting intelligence for,  Secret Agent training has begun as Year 5 have been dragged into the world of espionage and intrigue this week.  Spy based English and Maths lessons, and secret codes to access the classroom have been part of the timetable in preparation for their class reader this term, Alex Rider, Stormbreaker.  Every good spy needs an alias, dresses in black and conceals their eyes with sunglasses!
