Following Fishkeeper Fry

Today, Friday 4th March,  Year 3 introduced their new Platy Fsh to the tank with the Zebra Danios.  Platy fish are really interesting as they give birth to live young rather than laying eggs.

The children took out and cleaned the filter and were amazed how dirty it had got.  They also added some more water to the tank and tested the water before topping up the friendly bacteria food.

The fish can't be fed on their first day but tomorrow they will enjoy their first meal taken in their new home at St. Joseph's
