Aim high achieve together

Year 5 have had a very busy week

It’s been a busy old week in Year 5. We have had drama and diaries in English looking at the feelings of Jim Jarvis as he is carted off to the workhouse in Street Child.

Maths has seen us continue to battle Decimals looking at ordering and comparing.

Science saw us take part in a 2000 pupil Virtual Science lesson with other KCSP schools where we investigated reaction times and asked the question:  “Who reacts quickest,  boys or girls?”

In art we have been drawing our own ‘retrofuturistic’ drawings inspired by the artwork of the 1950’s and 1960’s. History and the Vikings are invading (again).

Lydia won the six word story competition with her six word inspirational story and Olivier won Star of the Week for his exceptional maths work.

A great week. Thanks to Miss Winstone, Miss Hicks and Mrs Bugsel for their efforts this week.
