Year 3 and 4 Hockey Tournament

Year 3 & 4 Hockey at Chatham House

The Hockey tournament went off to a fantastic start with an amazing art goal from Benjamin securing our first draw.

The pressure began mounting through each match but the children’s confidence grew each time.

Bobbie, Evan and Benjamin made a great trio and showed their experience from the start but our Year 3 children really proved themselves over the course of the tournament at Chatham House Grammar School this week.

Nikolas showed incredible improvement from his first game and showed himself to be a formidable hockey player with incredible agility by the final match.

Keana started off  a little nervous but by the final match was making some brilliant saves in goal. Lacey caused great frustration to each opposition team by taking possession of the ball right under their noses.

Eryn and Paris both grew in confidence with Eryn finally making a brilliant tackle in the final match.

The teamwork was wonderful and once we adjusted to the constant player rotations everyone found their places. By the end of the evening everyone was happy to receive their bronze medals and get out of the cold.

Well done St Joseph’s.
