Tri-Golf Tournament

Despite the soggy start to the day, our Year 3 and 4 Golf team arrived at Margate Football Club, courtesy of Mrs Reid and Mr Stow, with sunny skies.

The wonderful students of Broadstairs College were there to greet us again and lead the events organised by Stephanie, our local School Games Organiser.

Gary was on hand to offer some comic relief as well.

The events started off well with Zone Ball and an incredible score thanks to some wonderful putting, particularly from Eva, Jamie and Esmae.

Go for Green let Ruben show off his powerful swing and Rosie her speedy retrieval.

Bullseye was brilliantly led with excellent putting from all.

Dominoes was another putting event and Julia, Eliza and Antonios showed that patience and perseverance pays off.

The scores kept raking up with Miya chipping so high she cleared the roof.

The final event gave Oakley a real chance to shine, proving he can chip a ball like a pro.

The children’s great teamwork throughout a non-stop afternoon was awarded with bronze medals and certificates for 3rd place presented by Gary.

Well done St Joseph’s
