St. Joseph's has once again entered the Thanet Schools Young Artists Festival which is presented by The Margate Rotary Club. We are pleased to announce the class winners as follows:
Matilda and Winner from YR and 1 with their designs from the classic book 'Where the Wild Things Are', Harper and Nichlon in Y2 blended warm and cool tones with oil pastels in their backgrounds, Evelyn and Aaryana used their shading skills from their plants topic for Y3, Sidney and James from Y4 were inspired by the Rainforest, Carter and Juno from Y5 used a combination of collage and printing to create their space themed masterpieces and lastly Alana and Nakayla in Y6 used a mixture of materials for their artwork to represent 'saving the planet'.
A massive well done to all the winners and to everyone who took part in this year's competition.
The winners pictures will be displayed in Sainsbury's at Westwood Cross from 12th to 19th May, 8 am to 10 pm for viewing. Overall winners will be chosen and prizegiving will take place on 17th May at 12 noon at Sainsbury's.
