Safety in Action

Year 6 have spent a very useful and informative morning at a 'Safety in Action' event run by SALUS.  They were given safety talks from Kent Police, the Fire and Rescue Service, The Coastguard and the British Transport Police.

The children learnt about first aid and practiced the skill of giving CPR, as well as learning how to stay safe online and being made aware of the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

All the organisations supporting this event are giving children vital information before they make the exciting and sometimes challenging transition to secondary school.  With a greater awareness of the risks associated with everyday life, it will enable our children to become more independent and know how to protect themselves.
