Madame Palmplemousse and her Incredible Edibles

Year 3 have been enjoying their new book 'Madame Pamplemousse and her Incredible Edibles.' Over the last week the children have explored the main characters: their personalities and mannerisms. They have been identifying adverbs to describe their speech and movement, giving thought to how this could tie into the main theme of food do compliment the text. This week they have been writing narratives for different scenarios for each character - the children took turns 'hot seating' to explain the characters' reasons for choices they have made and their feelings to the events. Great fun was had with the role play activity!
