Aim high achieve together

Eco Warriors Expedition

This week Mrs. O'Halloran  had the privilege of accompanying our Eco Council to the 2024 Eco Ambassadors Event which was held at Thanet Wanderers Rugby Club. We were one of seven local schools attending the event and spent the afternoon litter picking and learning about how long it takes for rubbish to break down when it enters the sea. We played games on the theme of habitats and the Earth's atmosphere with Kent Wildlife Trust.

Our Eco Council showed a great understanding of decomposition which they shared with the other schools. Elias from Year 5 explained to everyone how heat gets trapped in the Earth's atmosphere, whilst Oscar was chosen as the Atmosphere Defender for the game of the same name.
